    Description

North Carolina May 10, 1780 $25 Terra Libera Notam Praetii In Me Posuit PMG Choice About Unc 58 EPQ.
There are six different mottos for this $25 denomination. This long motto, Terra libera Notam Praetii in me posuit, is translated by Newman as, "A free land placed a mark of value on me." Notice that the center bar of "F" in "FIVE" is missing. This is a beautiful, problem free note with good color and broad margins and is pedigreed to the Ford and Boyd collections.
