    Description

North Carolina May 10, 1780 $100 Fortis cadere cedere con potest PCGS Apparent Very Fine 30.
More than 5000 $100s were printed for this issue. The $100 design incorporates the motto Fortis cadere cedere con potest (A brave man can not fall). This note is well printed on bright paper with good margins and has bold signatures of M. Frank and Waightstill Avey. Its only blemishes are a clipped lower left corner and a few short edge tears. Notwithstanding those issues, the note still faces up very well and has a number of attributes of a higher grade.
