North Carolina March 9, 1754 30s PCGS Very Fine 35.
An absolutely stunning example of this early North Carolina issue that is a real peach in every way. This bright and well signed example has the look of an Extremely Fine note and we could have easily seen the services grading it that way. To put it simply notes from these 1748 and 1754 issues are virtually never seen in any type of grade and problem free.............they are not to be confused with the hoard of notes that are of lower quality. The Midnight Ride collection had a great selection of North Carolina notes and the nicest of these graded PMG VF 30, a note which brought $977.50. We would not be surprised in the very least to see the four figure price barrier broken by this example.
