    Description

North Carolina March 9, 1754 30s PCGS Very Fine 30PPQ.
PCGS has graded only two notes higher than this, a 35 and a 40. The PPQ designation is virtually never seen on this issue, as the thin weak paper was highly subject to splits and chips. This is one of the nicest examples we have seen from this early issue. Our most recent comparable example was in last fall's Long Beach auction where a PCGS 30 realized $881. This note should far exceed that.
