    North Carolina April 23, 1761 8d PCGS Very Fine 35.
    Even more rare than the previous note. We do not recall ever handling one of the eight pence denominations from this issue. According to the PCGS population report, this is the only example they have graded, while PMG has not seen a single note. In addition to the rarity, this note is even more desirable due to its condition, earning a PCGS italic Very Fine 35 grade. The reasons for the italic grade are listed as masked stains, splits, and tears. The note has a pleasing appearance with good margins and all four signatures remaining legible.
