    Description

North Carolina April 2, 1776 $1 Snake strangling bird PCGS Very Good 10.
The vignette on this $1 note is a snake strangling a bird. It is not terribly well executed and it is very busy. In our opinion, one of the least attractive vignettes in the entire series. It is almost unpleasant enough to be a seven-figure piece of modern art. As expected at this grade level, the signatures are virtually gone. The italic grade was assigned for the typical list of defects.
