    Description

North Carolina April 2, 1776 $1/8 Snake biting sword in scabbard PCGS Very Fine 20.
The vignette on this note has interesting imagery with the snake biting a scabbard holding a sword within it. This is the first of three vignettes in this series with a snake vignette, though each are different. This $1/8 "Snake" has an italic grade due to repairs and small rust stains on back, both of which are rather immaterial and do not affect the visual impact of this nice VF, extremely rare note.
