    Description

North Carolina April 2, 1776 $1/2 Monogram with toothed border of triangles PCGS Very Fine 30.
PMG has not graded a single note of this number, while PCGS has graded only one Apparent example in addition to the piece in this lot. The Apparent VF 30 specimen was part of the Eric P. Newman Collection and we auctioned it for $4,230 in January 2017. Tonight's Fr. NC-156e is in a comment free PCGS VF 30 holder, and with that in mind, one can expect it to go for a far higher amount than the PCGS Apparent VF 30 example.
