Top Pop New York February 16, 1771 £3 PMG Choice Very Fine 35.
An astounding example of this much scarcer denomination in a grade that is almost unheard of for this issue. Superbly embossed, wonderfully printed with bold signatures and great printing quality. Free of any problems except for PMG noting that is has been miscut at right, although it does not affect the state coat of arms. The past couple examples of this denomination we have sold were apparent VF 30 or VF 35 notes, both of which sold right around $400 each. Top Pop at PMG and likely almost Top Pop at PCGS , although difficult to tell since all the notes they have graded were Apparent graded. Just about the nicest note we have seen and worthy of a premium bid or six.
