New York March 5, 1776 (Water Works) 8s Extremely Fine.
Slightly rounded corners and a few corner folds. Well signed, bright, and attractive. These notes were printed on two sheets of paper and mounted to one another prior to printing. The face is a very light tan, fine paper and the back is a deeper gray-brown coarse paper. On this example, the back paper was a touch short, causing some of the lettering of the back printing to fall on the lighter back of the face. Unusual and quite interesting.
