Roosevelt and Peter Byvanck were the signers of this attractive $2/3 note from the "Colony of New York" that earned the PPQ designation from PCGS. An eagle vignette is seen on the back along with the motto FORTIS A FORTE (strength comes from strength). The printer, Samuel Loudon, was a native of Ireland. His printing shop was located on Water street. Loudon passed away on Feb. 24, 1813 at Middletown Point, NJ.
