    Description

New York April 20, 1756 £10 PMG Fine 12 Net.
An issue that is quite scarce, with this example displaying plate letter D. A mere 2200 of these £10 notes were printed by James Parker. A tear, extending from the center of the note to the bottom margin, was cited by PMG as the reason for the net grade. The tear has been partially repaired. The only prices listed in the Newman reference are a few auction results. An Extremely Fine example of this denomination sold at auction in May, 2004 for $1,840.
