    Description

    New York April 2, 1759 £5 PCGS Apparent Very Fine 25.
    PCGS has graded 10 examples all of which are Apparents which do not appear in the census, but we cannot imagine many if any of them being better than this. PMG has graded two and both of them are 15's. This 25 has received the Apparent grade for "Restorations; Design and Signatures Redrawn." Restorations are correct, the note has been split and sewn and is now nicely conserved and reattached. The only redrawing we see is where the central split interrupted letters of the text. A pleasing example of a very rare number.
