    Description

    Lansingburgh Museum 3d October 20, 1792 Harris H6 PCGS Fine 15.
We have not handled this denomination from this private issuer before. There was a 4d in our Newman auction that graded PCGS 10 apparent and sold for $1,880. The apparent is no longer being used by PCGS, but the comments, "Splits, Tears and Minor Damage" is the equivalent of 15 apparent. Very rare and likely to prove quite popular as these pre-1800 private issues are sought by both colonial and obsolete collectors.
