Impressive 1793 Reformed Dutch Church note listed in both Newman and HarrisCanajoharie, NY - Reformed Dutch Church February 4, 1793 2d PCGS Apparent Fine 15.
A note that is listed in both the Newman Colonial and the Harris New York scrip references. It is listed in Newman 5th edition on page 308 and described as "Church Money of the Trustees of the Reformed Dutch Church of the Upper Part of Canajohary, Montgomery County was issued. Signed by Jacob Maskell as Treasurer. Printed by C.R. & G. Webster." Harris gives it a rarity rating of R7, 1 to 5 known, and none of this issuer's notes are valued in Newman. Less than a year ago, in our 2015 Central States sale, we sold a raw Fine with large stains for $376. This note has been flagged for small repairs but they are very difficult to find.
