    New York December 10, 1737 £3 PCGS Fine 15.
This is the first small format series from New York and a historic issue. Uniface and printed by John Peter Zenger, famous for his acquittal in a libel case. Zenger was an important figure who helped shape the concept of freedom of the press and speech in the Colonies. We recently sold a New York 1737 £3 as part of our Newman sale in the same grade for $1,410. This note has nicer edges and is lacking the tape that example had on the back. Both were graded PCGS 15 and both with a comment about repairs.
