New Jersey May 1, 1758 15s PCGS Apparent Very Good 10.
The Eighth War Issue was authorized by the Act of April 4, 1758. £50,000 in Bills of Credit denominated from 6s to £6 was authorized and held legal tender status until November 1, 1778. The notes became invalid after May 1, 1779. The notes, essentially extensions of the previous issue's designs, continued to be printed by James Parker. The note has seen extended circulation and has several hard folds/splits. The center split has been repaired with hinges on the back. Unlike other issues, the 30s and pound denomination notes are easily the most available, with the lower denomination notes rarely seen.
From the Colonial Valley Collection, Part II
