    New Jersey March 25, 1776 1s PCGS Very Choice New 64PPQ. Wide margins and embossing are observed on this attractive 1 shilling note. Plate letter B is seen on this example printed on paper watermarked NEW JERSEY. This note was signed by Robert Smith, Jonathan Deare, and John Stevens, Jr. Isaac Collins was the printer. Collins (circa 1740-1817), a Quaker, established his shop in Burlington in 1770 after having apprenticed under James Adams in Wilmington and William Rind in Williamsburg, VA.
