An eighteen pence note with plate letter "C", this example was signed by Jonathan Johnston, Jonathan Deare, and John Stevens, Jr. Printer Isaac Collins was born in Delaware. He apprenticed in Wilmington with James Adams and then with William Rind at Williamsburg, VA. After working for several different people, he saw the opportunity to go into business for himself after the death of James Parker. He was a Quaker and died in Burlington in March 1817 at the age of 71.
