    Description

New Jersey March 25, 1776 18d Gem New. "A simply gorgeous example, with broad even margins and sharp print quality. The red vignette, showing the New Jersey coat of arms, almost always prints very indistinctly. On this particular example, it's razor-sharp, showing all the detail of the crowned lion, the unicorn and the shield between them. A little foxing is noticed on the back." This was the description in the note's last appearance in our 2007 Central States Final Session where it realized a robust $345 and the market for gem colonial currency has advanced considerably since then.
