New Jersey June 9, 1780 $8 PMG About Uncirculated 55 EPQ. Fully signed on both sides, with the signature of David Brearley on the face. Brearley was one of the signers of the United States Constitution seven years after he signed this note. The guarantee on the back is signed by Joseph Borden, who signed only this issue. He was also a delegate to the Stamp Act Congress of 1765. New Jersey is a scarce Colony for Guaranteed Issue notes. PMG has graded six of these with none reaching fully Uncirculated.‡ The owner placed a late bid on this unreserved lot and repurchased it, subject to applicable commission.
