Description

    New Jersey June 9, 1780 $20 PMG Very Fine 20. These notes were printed with black ink on the faces and red and black ink on the backs by Hall & Sellers. The paper is mica-flaked and has a UNITED STATES watermark in two lines. Henry Dawkins, who had previously worked for the British as a counterfeiter, performed some of the engraving for this issue. Philemon Dickinson and David Brearley were the signers of this example. Joseph Borden signed the guaranty. The $20 denomination was the highest for this issue and 12,000 notes were printed.
