    Description

New Jersey June 22, 1756 30s PCGS Apparent Fine 12.
An example of one of the other denominations listed in Friedberg as "Rare," with no values assigned. The prices in Newman rise significantly beginning with the 30 shillings note from this issue. This well circulated example was assigned the apparent grade due to the center split being tape repaired. The tape was applied to the back at some point, however the pieces had previously been pinned together. This is only the third example we've offered, although one of the notes appeared in several of our sales. Using PMG's data to extrapolate concerning scarcity, we see that as of their Population Report data in early December 2011, they have not graded a single 30 shillings note from this issue.
