DescriptionNew Jersey December 31, 1763 £6 PMG Very Fine 25.
The grade of this note along with the fact it is housed in a comment-free holder both combine to further add to the appeal of this colorful red-and-blue New Jersey note. Only 500 of these £6 notes were printed. Although the top signature is lightly faded, all three signatures remain visible on this example numbered 137. This issue marked the beginning of the use of mica-flaked paper for New Jersey notes. The two suns that served as denomination symbols for the £6 notes are bold and display strong detail. PMG has graded several of these, but this 25 is alone at the top of their census. Some splits seen affect nothing. This note is sure to get the attention of serious collectors.
Estimate: $1,250 - up.
