New Jersey April 8, 1762 12s PMG Very Good 8 Net.
The Thirteenth War Issue comprised £30,000 in Bills of Credit that retained legal tender status until November 1, 1780 and then became invalid after May 1, 1781. Denominations ranged from 12s to £6. The designs and printer of the previous series were retained, with the £6 note being printed in red and blue rather than red and black. Only 1600 of the 12s value were printed with plate letters A and B. This plate letter A note, whose signatures of Smith, Rodman, and Nevill are still decipherable, has seen extensive circulation with a number of splits. It has been severed, reattached, and repaired with tape.
