New Jersey April 10, 1759 6s PMG Good 6 Net.
The Tenth War Issue was authorized by the Act of March 17, 1759. It comprised £50,000 of Bills of Credit with denominations ranging from 6s to £6. Approximately 5487 of this denomination were prepared for issue. This example is heavily circulated with portions of the face design and signatures faded. All of the back's design elements are essentially clear. There is a centerfold separation that caused the note to become severed. It has been rejoined with a modern mesh reinforcement. Valuation estimates are difficult because this is the first public auction appearance for this denomination of which we are aware.
