    Description

New Jersey 1786 1s PCGS Very Fine 25PPQ.
Using PMG's data to extrapolate concerning the quantity and condition of notes from this issue, it seems safe to conclude this is among the best of the surviving notes. PMG has only graded three notes from the entire 1786 issue at the 25 level, with none higher and none having achieved their EPQ designation. This note is well signed and has respectable margins. Areas of embossing are clearly visible through the holder and the note has nice eye appeal with the State Arms displaying strong detail. Benjamin Smith and alternate James Ewing were the signers. A desirable example for the New Jersey specialist or Colonial generalist.
