New Jersey March 25, 1776 12s Gem New. Signed by John Hart. This utterly original and untampered with New Jersey note has been signed by John Hart, a very desirable autograph as he was a signer of the Declaration of Independence. His signature, along with the two others, are very bold and distinct and the print quality is superb. Deep and original embossing is easily noted throughout the note which is as nice as any we have seen. Many of these New Jersey notes with sheet margins have been trimmed over the years to make them appear nicer but this example appears to be as nice as the day it was printed. A pencilled notation is seen on back.
