    Description

New Jersey June 9, 1780 $1 PMG About Uncirculated 55 EPQ.
Very lightly handled, this note displays good color as well and earned the EPQ designation from PMG. A mere 12,000 of these notes were printed. The face was signed by Dickinson and Brearley, and the guarantee was signed by Joseph Borden. Brearley signed the U.S. Constitution in 1787, and Borden was a delegate to the 1765 Stamp Act Congress. Bordentown, New Jersey bears his name. He was also the father-in-law of Francis Hopkinson, a signer of the Declaration of Independence as well as a signer of Pennsylvania notes.
