New Jersey December 31, 1763 £6 PCGS Very Fine 30.
The grade of this note along with the fact it is housed in a comment-free holder both combine to further add to the appeal of this colorful red and blue New Jersey note. Only 500 of these £6 notes were printed. Although faded, all three signatures remain visible on this example numbered 438. This issue marked the beginning of the use of mica-flaked paper for New Jersey notes. The two suns that served as denomination symbols for the £6 notes are bold and display strong detail. PCGS has yet to release a census for Colonial notes, however PMG's data reveals that they have only graded five surviving examples. This note is sure to get the attention of serious collectors.
