    Description

New Jersey April 16, 1764 30s Contemporary Counterfeit PCGS Apparent Very Good 8.
This is a case where the counterfeit is significantly more rare than the genuine note. This counterfeit has two diagnostics giving it away; the tops of the G in SHILLINGS (at center right) and the plate letter extend to the right of the bottom loops in the letters. PMG indicates that the note has been severed and reattached with a patch. In addition there are stains and other more minor impairments.
