New Hampshire Treasury Certificate £1 13s 1795 Anderson UNL PCGS Apparent About New 50.
Numbered 52, this certificate was payable to Henry Ranlett pursuant to a resolve passed by the General Court in January 1795 and was signed by Governor John Taylor Gilman and Secretary Joseph Pearson. There is a record of a Henry Ranlet in Exeter who published a music book that was printed with movable type in 1795. Also, a Henry Ranlet appears in the 1810 U.S. Federal Census in Gilmanton. Edge tears resulted in the apparent grade that was assigned by PCGS. Two hole cancels are observed. The note is well margined and displays bold embossing.
