Description

New Hampshire November 3, 1775 40s PCGS Apparent Extremely Fine 45.
A genuine example of a type and denomination that is almost always seen as a counterfeit. The counterfeits, because of their extreme similarity to the genuine notes and the seemingly authentic signatures, have always been under some question as to whether or not they are really counterfeits. This note falls outside of the discussion curve. Its due date is the 20th of December, 1780, and none of the "counterfeits" bear that due date. The note has been assigned the Apparent grade for "Edge Splits and Repairs; Minor Stains" which are present, but not very distracting.
