New Hampshire April 29, 1780 $8 Uncancelled PMG Very Fine 30. This is actually one of the nicest examples of this type that we have seen in quite some time. While uncancelled Connecticut notes are relatively common, Massachusetts somewhat scarcer, examples from New Hampshire are not rare in the strictest sense but are far scarcer than the others. This lovely note has good margins, bold signatures and light circulation. The note possibly gives the appearance of a higher grade but recent auction results have shown that all examples Very Fine or better have been realizing greater than $2,000 as this particular example brought $2,070 in a summer auction.
