    Description

New Hampshire April 29, 1780 $3 PMG Very Fine 30.
2900 $3s were printed for use with this issue. The emblem on the back depicts a heron and eagle fighting with the motto EXITUS IN DUBIO EST (The outcome is in doubt). The note is well printed on good paper with clear penned signatures of Joseph Pearson and James McClure. Other signatures are somewhat faded. As PMG notes, there is a large hole cancel as is quite common for this issue.
