New Hampshire June 20, 1775 6s PCGS Apparent Very Good 8.
A very rare New Hampshire Paul Revere "Copperplate" note. It is one of less than a half dozen examples of this issue that we have handled over the years. HCAA has sold only two of these and both of those sales were over a decade ago. The note is unpriced at any grade level in Friedberg and simply referred to as "rare." Newman does price these and assigns an evaluation of $7,500 in Fine. This note is worth far less, but still has good value. The Apparent grade was assigned for "Splits, Tears, Damage, and Repairs; Backed". All of which is accurate; not pretty but very, very rare.
