    Description

New Hampshire June 20, 1775 40s PCGS Apparent Very Fine 30.
The Apparent grade has been assigned for "Edge Splits," which are present at both edges of the horizontal fold and the bottom edge of the vertical fold. The overall appearance of the note is wonderful. We previously sold only a single genuine example of this note along with quite a handful Cohen reprints. The previous genuine example was a PCGS 40 Apparent that realized $2,467 in January of 2014. This one is boldly signed with a very large section of the indent present at the left. These notes are frequently referred to as copperplate notes and were engraved by John Ward Gilman.
