New Hampshire April 29, 1780 $2 Uncanceled Very Fine. This is a real prize to be sure as uncanceled examples from this issue are really quite a challenge to come by. The margins are broad on all sides with good paper quality but for about three very small pinholes near the top. At our 2006 FUN Signature Sale we had a couple of uncanceled Very Fines that realized about $1,500 and the market for rare colonials has certainly advanced considerably since then in this post-Ford marketplace.Auction Info
