    State of Massachusetts Bay Six Percent Treasury Certificate £252, 11s January 1, 1780 Anderson MA 22 Very Fine-Extremely Fine.
    Richard Hubbard was the payee on this well margined, attractive example. A number of notations are observed on the back. The rarity assignment of R4 by Anderson indicates 76 to 200 known. The certificate has been cancelled by means of several hash marks across the signature of the treasurer.
    Seller is donating 100% of their proceeds, and Heritage is donating 100% of the Buyer's Premium, from the sale of this lot to the National Numismatic Collection at the Smithsonian Institution. See page 3 for details.
