    Massachusetts Treasury Certificate at 6% Interest £100 April 26, 1779 Anderson MA-18 Very Fine. Stephen Minot and J. Mascarene signed for the Committee on this example and H. Gardner signed as treasurer. According to Anderson's The Price of Liberty, 500 of these certificates were issued. The MA-18 is listed as R-5, indicating 31 to 75 examples are estimated in existence. Gardner's signature has been X'd out as a means of cancellation on this piece. An edge split is noticed at left.
