    Massachusetts Treasury Certificate £10.15s.3p January 1, 1782 Anderson MA-31 Very Fine-Extremely Fine, HOC.
    Ornate indented border at the left side and a bold, clean example. Listed by Anderson in The Price of Liberty as MA-31. Low Rarity-6 (21 to 30 known). Serial number 2169, printed in black on fine quality watermarked laid period paper, measuring 7.5" x 7" having a small hole cancel and manuscript lines with standard interest payment notations, to pay "James Shepard or Bearer Ten Pounds, 15 Shillings, and three Pence, plus Six Per Cent interest before January 1, 1784, ... to be paid in the several Species of Coined SILVER and GOLD...". Several brown-inked signatures and scalloped left Indent edge. Docketing signatures on the back.
