    Description

Massachusetts May 5, 1780 Sheet of Eight. This is the first example we've seen of a fully signed, issued Massachusetts Guaranteed multiple. Each note has its two signatures on the face and is signed by Peter Boyer on the back for the United States. The sheet consists of one of each of the following denominations: $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $7, $8 and $20. Each note has a small crosscut cancel in the body and a large wedge cancel at its edge. Each note bears the red "Interest Paid One Year" stamp. But for their cancels, seven of the eight notes are perfect Gems. The $7 note has a wrinkle in it. Extremely rare and desirable.
