    Description

    Massachusetts May 5, 1780 $5 PCGS Gem New 66PPQ.
    The finest known example at both services combined. Fully signed and issued, with the guarantee on the back signed for the United States by Peter Boyer. Hole canceled Massachusetts Guaranteed notes are among the most common of surviving Colonials, but uncanceled signed and issued notes are quite scarce. It is the lone 66 at either service with nothing higher and this turns it into a rather important Colonial item.
