    Massachusetts May 5, 1780 $3 About New. These bills were printed on watermarked paper with UNITED STATES in two lines. The red "interest paid" stamp is observed on this example. This note was signed by Thomas Dawes and Richard Cranch, while the guaranty was signed by Thomas Walley. Someone else appears to have added their signature on the face to the left of Dawes' signature. A small tear is observed at the hole cancel.
