    Description

Massachusetts December 7, 1775 Contemporary Counterfeit 36s PMG About Uncirculated 53.
One of the more deceptive contemporary counterfeits. It definetly has the look of a Paul Revere "Sword in Hand" printed genuine note. The counterfeits are distinguished from the genuine only by minute differences in the engraving. The easiest difference to spot on the counterfeits is the straight vertical main masts on the ship vignette, as the masts slant to the right on the genuine pieces. This is a counterfeit that is highly desired with this piece only surpassed in grade in our auctions by the Newman example that we offered last October.
