    Description

Massachusetts December 7, 1775 1s/4d Fine-Very Fine. The centerfold has been lightly straightened, but that is the only noticeable restoration on this very nice low denomination sword-in-hand note. It's a solid example with a strong back vignette. While none of the notes from this issue can be considered common, it is our experience that these lower denominations are seen with considerably less frequency. This piece is #4802 out of only 6,250 printed. No counterfeits were made of the lower denominations, so the tedious process of deciding genuineness becomes moot.
