    Description

    Massachusetts August 18, 1775 2s PMG Fine 12 Net.
After the copperplate notes, the next several series of Revere engraved and printed notes were the "Sword in Hand" types issued across four dates. The face of the note is mostly text with a small ship vignette at the lower left, varying by denomination. The backs used the iconic patriot wielding a sword, presenting an impressive image on the money during the period. Most genuine "Swords" are low grade, but they all have historic charm and many have interesting plate subtleties. PMG has assigned the net grade for repairs which are seen primarily on the back. A rare low denomination type used heavily for change.
