    Description

Massachusetts 1779 4s6d Extremely Fine. A lovely Rising Sun note. It is particularly well printed on both sides. The face margins are close all the way around but do not intrude into the design. The back is perfectly centered among four large margins. This is a scarce issue that owes a large part of its popularity to the fact that the face plate was engraved by Paul Revere, and the faces were printed in Revere's shop.
