    Description

    Massachusetts October 18, 1776 4d PCGS New 62.
An extremely well printed example of one of the most evocative of the New England Colonial notes, this type features a codfish vignette at the top of the face and a pine tree on the back. The face of this note was engraved and printed by Paul Revere. The plate was re-dated by Revere from October 18, 1776. The backs were printed by Thomas Fleet from cast cuts. This note is also well signed, well numbered, and only held back from a higher grade by its margins.
