Sword in Hand Note Engraved by Paul Revere

Massachusetts August 18, 1775 2s PMG Very Fine 30 Net.
An example of the popular Sword in Hand note. This issue was engraved by Paul Revere and printed in his shop just a few months after his famous midnight ride. PMG has only graded two other examples, both Good 6. According to the notations on the holder, the net grade was assigned to this note due to repairs and soiling. Although the signature has faded, it can still be readily discerned that Thomas Plympton was the signer. The Newman reference lists a value of $7500 for these in Very Fine.
